June General Meeting

The June general membership meeting and speaker seminar was held , June 11 2009 at Bay Harbor Ford showroom(Englewood, Fl.). After the business portion of the meeting, the speakers were introduced (Gary Ingman and Ernie Fred of Ingman Marine – Placida). The topic of the speakers for the night was “ Boat and Engine Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance

    Mr. Ingman introduced himself and his company. He covered the full scope of his company and it's philosophy, as it pertains to marine sales and after the sale , including vessel and engine maintenance. Mr. Ingman invited the audience to visit Ingman Marine at any time and to feel free to call his establishment for any questions.

                                                                                                   Ernie Fred

    Mr. Ernie Fred was the second speaker of the night. The technical speaker of marine maintenance and preventive maintenance. Mr. Fred gave his presentation through a power point and hands on props presentation. This was a good way for all in the audience to see and understand the point of topic. Mr. Fred's presentation got off to a quick start and quickly steered toward the subject of ethanol and it's play in the marine motor industry. After a lot of very good technical information, the audience got into the act and constantly asked pointed questions to Mr. Fred. Without a hitch, Mr. Fred answered all inquiries to their satisfaction. Mr. Fred was able to cover a couple of other areas, completing his presentation with a full audience still intact. Ingman Marine donated quite a bit of product to raffle to the audience.

A good time was had by all and all left the meeting much more knowledgeable about their vessel and engine.
