The Englewood Fishing Club was started in April, 2004, by a small group of recreational fisherman who just wanted to meet, talk and socialize with other fisherman and in the process become better fisherman, go fishing more and help conserve the marine environment for the future. We are now an ongoing sport fishing and social organization with a membership of over 100 fishing enthusiast.

         We hold monthly General Membership meetings year round that feature a variety of fishing related topics: fishing clinics, seminars by local guides, local restaurant chefs preparing fish dishes, barbecues and government agency presentations. Our membership consist of a mixture of full time and seasonal residents and their families who fish from the back bays to deep sea with all types of boats and tackle.

         We ask all members to continue supporting the Club and "crewing up" at the meetings as well as fishing together and providing ideas for the future of the club. This web site is work in progress and is intended to help our members and others realize the goals of The Englewood Fishing Club.

HE IS A WELL KNOWN FLORIDA SPORTSMAN MAGAZINE AND TV COMMENTATOR WHO FREQUENTLY TEAMS UP WITH LOCAL OTHER LOCAL TOP FISHERMEN TO WIN TOURNAMENTS. HE FISHES MOSTLY TAMPA TO NAPLES AND FOCUSES ON ARTIFICAL /LURE FISHING
