Englewood Fishing Club
It's more than fishing ... it's a way of life.

El Cheapo Sheepo Tournam

Want  to go fishing on a cold south west Florida windy day in February?  That's when the Sheepshead are usually biting best, and that's when the Englewood Fishing Club's Sheepshead Fishing Day is usually scheduled.

You can fish from a boat, shore or pier.  It's one of the most popular fishing trips of the year.  There are prizes for the largest Sheepshead, a good lunch, and good fun for all. The weigh in is followed by a lunch at a waterside eater with plenty of hot coffee and soup to warm you up for the "awards" announcements.

SIGN UP & RESERVATIONS for the TRIP and LUNCH are required, and are handled at the regular meeting preceeding the date.

2014 SHEEPSHEAD FISHING FEBRUARY 18 RESULTS

Eligible Species:  Sheepshead  (Min. 12 inches)

A Conservation Note:  We would like to point out that only 1 fish per angler may be weighed in.  As the Florida State Bag limit is 10 Sheepshead per person, and they are tasty fish, we would like  advise anglers that they may "Keep"  more than the "weighed in" fish, however we encourage angler only to "Keep"  what they intend to eat and release the rest.
